Santa Clara Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in the region of Visconde de Mauá. The region stands out as a cornucopia of crystal-clear waters, which take different forms, from rivers to waterfalls and natural pools with fresh water, perfect to take a dip on a hot summer day in Brazil.
Boasting a number of over 100 waterfalls, Visconde de Mauá is definitely a must-go-to destination. In this luring, fairy-tale-like gathering of pools, ponds and waterfalls, one distinguishes itself as the postcard for the region – Santa Clara. Being one of the highest waterfalls in Visconde de Mauá, Santa Clara Falls benefits from a natural pool and a natural water slide. Still want to go to a water park? Come to the falls!
The Santa Clara Valley lies between the towns of Maromba and Maringá. To take full advantage of the surroundings and the wealth of waterfalls and two trout farms that the region has to offer, all you need to do is cross the bridge built over the valley.
If you’re anywhere in the city of Maromba or the valley of Santa Clara you can reach the falls by foot, whereas if you find yourself in Maringá you will need to drive 5 km to get to the falls.
For those of you who love more extreme sports, Santa Clara is the perfect spot for water jumps.
From the Horse’s Mouth “Easy access, beautiful landscapes! You can get there with your own car or you can hire a tour that would take you to most of the waterfalls in the area. Very relaxing”. (Madalutza) “It's a beautiful fall to visit and to bathe in its waters, although as the water is cold, it's hard to stay inside for a long time.” (Tlustosa) “Very cold water, winds that come from some secret place, it's really like magic! Great view and excellent for a swim!” (Christiane F)
